Action Pistol Practice Night
Another season of Action Pistol Practice Night is complete. We set some new highs for the event. We had 75 different people shoot the event. Last year we averaged 23.7 shooters a night. This year was 30.5. We picked up many new shooters and lost a few of the regulars from last season. My goal was to get 40 shooters for one night. This year that was accomplished on the night of August 8th, and the last shoot of the season we had 37. I want the thank those that helped me set up stages, Igor, Pat, Bob, Ron. We had one shooter that came from Tustin just north of Reed City that made several matches. Also thanks to Kris and Rob for doing the signup and handling set up of the tablets and post scores to Practiscore.
Thanks to all who helped with manning the tablets and doing some RO duty, and also for tearing down the stages and getting everything back in the container. Without your help would be hard pressed to handle the amount of shooters we had. I try to make the stages challenging and fun and am always open to any ideas you may have for stages. Will be a few new props for next year. Thinking we need a “Bobber” and maybe a “Irish Plate Rack”.
I have been asked if would do a weekend shoot, so plan on one Oct 5th Saturday at 11:00 am. Set up at 8:00 Sat morning. There would be Six stages and cost would be 15.00. If I can get 5 people to show up for set up then will be able to get the stages complete by 11:00
There will be a reduced price for those that help set up. Will be posting on club website, club Facebook page and Practiscore once I get a setup crew in place. If you can help setup and Will be there Sat morning send me an email. Gman45acp@gmail.com
